Cruzeiro Esporte Clube has lost its former coach Pepa, who has been announced by Estrela Amadora, a club in the Primeira Divisão of Portugal. The announcement was made on Friday (12), and Pepa's contract is valid for two seasons. The 45-year-old Portuguese coach had been without a club since May 2025, when he was dismissed by Sport, which at the time was at the bottom of the Série A of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Pepa had a stint at Toca da Raposa in 2023, where he managed Cruzeiro Esporte Clube in 25 matches, achieving seven wins, eight draws, and ten losses. Estrela Amadora, which finished last season in 15th place, is now looking to improve its performance in the Primeira Divisão of the Campeonato Português in 2026/27. This will be the 11th team in Pepa's coaching career, and he hopes to bring his experience to the new challenge in Portugal.
